Attention Wrightwood Little League Community,
It troubles me to inform you that despite our best efforts Wrightwood Little league will NOT have a Spring/Summer season after all. We were waiting for the state, county, and local leaders to give us the go-ahead, (which in a way they have.) They issued guidelines that do not seem feasible to our community at this time. Guidelines that changed the game we all love.
To have a season we would have to fight for field usage and take away from other sports.
We asked all parents to respond with what they wanted for their kids, a large majority decided they do not wish to play summer. Without all the other challenges we are facing, we simply do not have the numbers to form teams.
We have voted as a board (unanimously) to end the pursuit of summer ball. Keeping our community in mind we did not feel comfortable bringing people from other communities (interleague) to our town and risk further spread. We want to thank everyone for their patience and understanding during this odd time. We will be back with fall ball and hopefully back stronger than ever.
If you have requested a refund please stand by. We will begin processing them ASAP.
If you chose to rollover your fees to fall ball, you're all set. If you didn't respond please contact us or your coach ASAP.
If you are a manager or coach please contact us to return your equipment ASAP.
Lastly, WWLL board wants to show their gratitude and offer free (donated) shirts to our players, coaches, and sponsors. These shirts will feature a design to highlight this “season that never was” with all of our wonderful sponsors on the back.
We will reach out when they are ready.
Thank you for being a part of Wrightwood Little League,
Sincerely,
Cole Taylor
(President of WWLL)
